Meeco is proud to announce that we have been selected as one of just eight NSW based technology start-ups to participate in the upcoming Austrade and NSW Government sponsored accelerator program in Tel Aviv. The program will take place in late September 2016 and involves an extensive ten-day schedule of industry meetings, networking events and investment and commercialisation opportunities.

The delegation includes attending the DLD Tel Aviv technology summit¹, an invite only event and one of the leading global fintech and cyber security conferences.

The delegation to Tel Aviv is part of the launch for the Austrade Landing Pad program. As well as Tel Aviv, Austrade Landing Pads have already been established in San Francisco, Berlin, Shanghai and Singapore. They provide market-ready Australian start-ups with access to some of the world’s most renowned innovation and start-up ecosystems.

The Launch Pad program provides a 90-day residency in established co-working spaces, market and business development assistance including introductions to investors, strategic partners and potential customers.

Inclusion in the delegation is an extraordinary opportunity for Meeco and one that is closely aligned with our current global growth and expansion strategy. The chance to immerse ourselves in the start-up and investment community in one if the worlds’ leading centres of technology and innovation will provide valuable insights we can take forward as we continue to scale Meeco.

Our involvement in the program will also further enable us to grow our presence outside of Australia and establish ourselves in other leading markets.

As the global market for use-centric personal data solutions matures, Meeco continues to take a market leading position through our person-first API-of-Me capability and Meeco Me2B Labs², our enterprise learning platform.

The Tel Aviv program will also enable Meeco to learn from some of the leading minds in the fintech space and bring this knowledge back to NSW, further establishing the state as a leading APAC start-up hub.

The landing pad concept is a great initiative by Austrade. Providing the infrastructure of a physical space and a supporting entrepreneurial community is priceless for start-ups on the brink of opening up a global market for Australian founded innovation.

For more information on the delegation, a link to the official press release is here³ Meeco’s CEO and Founder Katryna will travel to Tel Aviv later in September for the accelerator program and we look forward to sharing her experiences with you when we return.

A special thank you to the NSW Government, Austrade and everyone behind the delegation for the opportunity. We look forward to representing NSW on the program.
